Runners are you ready! Now’s the time to lace-up your trainers as we prepare to run through the final quarter of 2020 with the Friday 5K Pop Up Run Series powered by PUMA!
Following the excitement of the Run Your City Series (RYCS) Heritage Day Virtual Run, event organisers, Stillwater Sports are excited to give runners (and walkers) another opportunity to WIN BIG while staying ACTIVE!
Consisting of four bi-weekly 5km runs that will start and finish at a designated venue in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg, the Friday 5K Pop Up Run Series powered by PUMA is free of charge. Runners do, however, need to sign up as there is a 70-runner limit per run (per city).
EXCITING NEWS the first 50 entries (per run/per city) will receive a limited-edition t-shirt! For a touch of flair each run will have a colour theme with the event t-shirt correlating with that theme.
Runners who take part in all four runs will be rewarded with a RYCS medal and headscarf after the final run.

Run Your City Series
Revolutionizing the sport of road running since 2015 with the introduction of the Cape Town 12K CITYRUN, the Run Your City Series comprises three unique mass participation road running events that also includes the Joburg 10K CITYRUN (launched in 2016) and Durban 10K CITYRUN (launched in 2017).
A diverse road running series, the Run Your City Series integrates businesses, families, investment in community, world class achievement and fun for all participants. Placing each host city on a pedestal, iconic landmarks form the foundation of a magnificent route experience that also boasts a feel-good vibe compliments of the city’s leading performing arts groups, refreshments, exciting sponsor activations and enthusiastic support along the way.
Although a mass participation series that encourages runners of all fitness levels to take part, each event also features an elite athlete invitational programme which allows South African athletes to compete against the world’s best on home-soil.

Cape Town 12K CITYRUN
Founded in 2015 South Africa’s most loved 12km road run, the Cape Town 12K CITYRUN has established itself as a ‘proudly South African, proudly Cape Town’ must do mass participation road running event that celebrates everything Cape Town – the vibe, the city and the people!
The 12km point to point route is fast and flat, highlights iconic landmarks and boasts magnificent views while featuring lively performances from some of Cape Town’s leading performing arts groups.
The morning starts with a convenient bus trip from Cape Town’s CBD to the start in Milnerton. The route follows the coastline running in the direction of the majestic table mountain before finishing in front of the iconic Portside Building in the heart of Cape Town.
All entrants, irrespective of their running pedigree, are invited to experience the alluring ambiance of the Mother City!

Durban 10K CITYRUN
Delivering nail-biting performances since the event’s inception in 2017, the Durban 10K CITYRUN is firmly cemented as one of Durban’s and South Africa’s MUST DO events!
Although there is no lack in excitement in the elite race, the Durban 10K CITYRUN is a mass participation road run that grants all entrants the unique opportunity to explore their city on foot.
Runners (and walkers) can look forward to an action packed 10km journey that highlights important landmarks and features exciting live entertainment compliments of Durban’s leading performing arts groups. The fresh sea air and magnificent ocean view will definitely add to the experience.

Joburg 10K CITYRUN
A proud Heritage Day Celebration, the Joburg 10K CITYRUN was founded in 2016 and celebrates the splendour of its host city.
Runners (and walkers) will be treated to a 10km journey that will highlight iconic landmarks and feature lively performances by a host of Joburg’s leading performing arts groups. A true highlight on the SA running calendar, entrants can also look forward to rubbing shoulders with elite runners both local and from abroad.
What better way to celebrate National Heritage Day than by being part of the action at the Joburg 10K CITYRUN!
