Stillwater Sports, the organisers of one of South Africa’s premier 10km road running series, the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series, are excited to announce that the 2026 season will kick off earlier than ever, with the Absa RUN YOUR CITY GQEBERHA 10K moving from April to Sunday, 01 March 2026.

“We’re excited to announce that the Absa RUN YOUR CITY GQEBERHA 10K will be moving to a new date in 2026, taking place on Sunday, 01 March,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Series Founder. “This means we’ll be kicking off the 2026 season sooner, giving runners an exciting start to the year. After a sold-out 2025 event that celebrated some incredible performances, we’re looking forward to building on that success and seeing even more impressive results in 2026.”

Gqeberha continues to be an outstanding host city for the event. With its scenic coastal routes and vibrant atmosphere, it offers the perfect backdrop for runners of all levels to achieve their personal bests while enjoying the beauty of the city.
